Established in 1972, Powell B. Whitmire & Associates has proven to be a leader in commercial food service design. Bo Whitmire created the company with a vision of providing the best design & brand specifications to the customer while also remaining dedicated to serving the customer thru budget minded decisions.
Bo Whitmire has served the food service industry for more than 47 years. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1954 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Before becomming an independent food consultant he worked as an equipment dealer for 14 years designing and selling complete kitchen and dining facilities.
Greg Ballington is proudly joining Powell B. Whitmire & Associates to continue the same great service and attention to detail that Bo Whitmire established more than 33 years ago. Greg has more than 16 years of experience in the food service industry and is a experienced kitchen designer versed in single and multi-unit concepts. Greg is also experienced in custom kitchen fabrication in both stainless steel & millwork and is knowledgable in UL & NSF regulations. He graduated from Midlands Technical College in 1989 with a A.S. in Architectural Engineering and In 1995 Greg received one of the industries highest certifications, the C.F.S.P. (Certified Food Service Professional).
